Simulation Theory
Let me preface this. I don't outright believe in simulation theory, but it is something I have considered and it honestly seems more likely to be a correct existential theory than most religions. I saw something that brought up a statistic that showed a positive correlation between intelligence and mental illness. What if we do in fact live in a simulation, but when the people who are running the simulation realize that a person is gaining too much knowledge about their existence, or start to question their existence too much they give that person a mental illness or something else to struggle with so that they stop coming to correct conclusions as fast.
Part of me likes this idea, but subconsciously I know that most likely, we don't exist for a long time, then we do, and then we go back to not existing again.
Thanks for reading.
Keep and open mind.
